In this week’s Deep Houseboat Life video, we are pumped to enjoy Ole Miss fight it out with Alabama in SEC football from our houseboat on Lake Lanier. Our Televisions are all set to choose college football video game day, and we even have 2 video game day dishes that we’ll share and prepare on our Lake Lanier houseboat. Fall houseboating is simply as interesting as summertime houseboating here in Georgia, and we’re anticipating more houseboat experiences prior to 2021 ends.
Houseboat Food Recipes:
Texas Caviar
* Active ingredients – 15 oz black beans (canned or dried & & soaked), 15 oz black-eyed peas (canned or dried & & soaked), 15 oz corn (canned or frozen & & defrosted), 1 red onion, 1 green bell pepper, 1 red bell pepper, 2 scallions, lot of cilantro, 1 lime, 2 huge tomatoes, red white wine, salt, and pepper.
* Recommendations – Drain and rinse beans and corn in a colander. Integrate in a big bowl. Slice onion, bell peppers, scallions, cilantro, and tomatoes. Integrate veggies with beans and corn in the big bowl. Slice lime and capture juice into the bowl. Include red white wine, salt, and pepper to your preference, and mix to delight in with tortilla chips!
Salmon & & Rice in Parchment Paper
* Active ingredients – 2 salmon filets, 1 cup rice (can be any kind), katamala olives, 1 lemon or lemon pepper flavoring, and feta cheese.
* Recommendations – Prepare 1 cup of picked rice according to bag instructions. Location a bed of rice on 2 pieces of parchment paper that are huge enough to twist around and seal rice with salmon. Location raw salmon filets on beds of rice and cover each with lemon pepper flavoring or lemon pieces, katamala olives, and feta cheese. Wrap and seal each rice and salmon meal in parchment paper (watch our video to see how!). Location both meals on a flat pan and cook in the over for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Take pleasure in!
