We triggered from State Dock Marina and right away fell for the sensation of being on the water. We took our houseboat leasing for a test drive in the primary channel, getting a feel for the boat and taking in the beautiful views. From there, we set out to check out a few of the lake’s most lovely areas for houseboating.
Indian Creek, Otter Creek, and Beaver Creek all had something unique to use, from sensational waterfalls to tranquil coves best for swimming and fishing. We even got to see the popular Seventy 6 Falls up close, which was an extraordinary sight to see.
However maybe the very best part of our houseboat trip was discovering the best area to camp for a number of days. We settled in at a tranquil cove, where we invested our days fishing and checking out the coasts, and our nights unwinding by the fire pit on the leading deck of our houseboat.
And travelling around Lake Cumberland was an experience all by itself. With miles of coastline to check out and spectacular surroundings at every turn, we could not get enough of the sensation of being out on the water.
